Sleep Hygiene

Sleep is just as good and water is. So why not begin your

sleep regimen today to help improve your mood and increase overall health.

Sleep hygiene practices advised for improved sleep:


  1. Establish a bedtime around the same time each night.

  2. Avoid electronics while in bed.

  3. Turn off all lights

  4. Avoid greasy and/ or spicy foods before bed

  5. Avoid exercise prior to bed

  6. Avoid all excessive amounts of liquid prior to bedtime

  7. Regulate temperature in bedroom ( avoid extreme heat and/or cold temperatures.

  8. Take a hot shower or bath prior to bedtime

  9. Change linen on bed regularly

  10. Change bedtime clothing regularly

  11. Try meditation before bed( calm/ abide app) for restful sleep.
